Treatment Of Problems In The Use Of Vacuum Blood Collection Devices

The vacuum blood collection device is a new blood sampling product that has been applied to clinical tests in recent years. Because of its simple operation, clean and safe, accurate and reliable, it is widely used in hospitals. However, in the course of clinical use, various problems occur when supplying professional blood collection devices, which affects the smooth collection of specimens. In the following, we only analyze the reasons for the existence of the vacuum blood collection device in the actual operation process and propose measures to improve the problems found.

1, hemolysis

Reason: The negative pressure of the vacuum tube is relatively large. At the beginning of blood collection, the blood flows into the bottom of the tube at a high speed. The red blood cells collide with each other to cause rupture, and occasionally hemolysis occurs. It is a kind of problem that is more common during the use of vacuum blood collection devices.

Measures: When collecting the blood specimen by the vacuum blood collection device, tilt the two-way blood collection needle to take the blood vessel side needle to make it close to the side wall of the blood collection tube, and the blood flows slowly along the tube wall to avoid the direct impact of the red blood cells to cause cracking.

2, blood leakage

Reason: The bi-directional blood collection needle is closed at the end of the blood collection device or the needle is pierced with a latex sheath, so that the two-way blood collection needle is not tightly sealed. During venipuncture, blood leaks along the two-way blood collection needle.

Measures: Check and tighten the latex sheath before blood collection. If the needle is pierced, the needle will be re-sleeved to maintain its airtightness. The actual operation of blood sampling after the test is completed can effectively avoid the phenomenon of blood leakage.

3, poor blood flow

Reason: The vacuum blood collection device collects the venous blood specimen and the needle is attached to the blood vessel wall or the blood collection tube without negative pressure.

Measures: Under the premise of ensuring the success of venipuncture, adjust the direction of the needle to the blood into the blood collection device, showing a state of slow blood inflow.
